Grab your paddle and come join our all-women’s four-day delightful canoeing adventure on the world famous Bowron Lakes!  Bowron Lakes Provincial Park is a large wilderness park with a system of six major lakes located in the Cariboo Mountains in central BC, near the communities of Wells and Barkerville.  Go-outdoors paddles the West Side of the Bowron Lakes, a shorter circuit of lakes and meandering waterways, with incomparable wilderness scenery, wildlife, snow capped mountains peaks, incredible sunsets and endless blue water as far as the eye can see.

This is an intermediate level trip.  No paddling experience necessary; the guides will teach you the basic fundamentals of canoeing.  Participants must be comfortable on water and able to paddle 4 to 6 hours daily, with lots of breaks and snacks - what about afternoon tea on the beach?  Included are some easy to moderate hikes.

The canoe trip starts at Bowron Lake and then meanders through the intriguing Bowron River to Spectacle Lake. There are two short portages on route between Spectacle Lake and Babcock Lake and another to Unna Lake.  At Unna Lake we hike to the spectacular viewpoint at Cariboo Falls, or if hiking is not your thing, you can enjoy the quiet sandy beach.  Unna Lake is as far as we go before heading back. We camp along the way at wilderness campsites with incredible views of mountains, sunsets and wildlife (sometimes moose swimming in the waters nearby).  An exhilarating site! We can almost guarantee you will have a wildlife spotting of a moose, deer, bear, beaver and other wildlife.  This park is full of animals.

Meals are generous and deliciously prepared.   We do cater to food requirements if sufficient notice is received.

Throughout this trip you will learn the art of paddling, low impact camping etiquette, fire building, bear awareness and other wilderness survival tips.  The trip is yours to enjoy!  There are many opportunities to relax, play in the water, explore sandy and wilderness beaches, view wildlife, read books, enjoy new friends and be totally immersed in nature.  Don’t forget your camera!!

This is an amazing and rewarding wilderness adventure that you will not want to miss!!!
