Snowshoeing
Location: Clearwater, BC
Dates: January 9th - 11th, 2009, March 13 - 15th, 2009
Cost: $350.00 + 5% GST (including two nights at Helmcken Falls Lodge, all meals and three days of instruction / guiding.)
Groups of 10 or more will get a 10% discount/person
Rentals: $15.00/day
               
Give snowshoeing a try in Wells Gray Provincial Park and surrounding area. Expert instruction and careful consideration of your personal comfort will make this a pleasant and invigorating weekend. You will build your confidence in the use of snowshoes, the purchase of snowshoe equipment, and choosing appropriate outdoor clothing. There will be optional workshops offered, such as, winter fire building, outdoor photography, animal tracking and orienteering. Also, you will be involved in some fun snowshoe activities. The evenings will see you relaxing at the cozy Helmcken Falls Lodge, enjoying their hearty meals and warm drinks. On Saturday evening, your brain will get some exercise at our "murder mystery dinner".


Cross-Country Skiing

You don't need experience and we supply the equipment. Just bring your enthusiasm and try cross-country skiing in Wells Gray Provincial Park, near Clearwater. Hearty meals and comfortable beds await you in the cozy, rustic Helmcken Falls Lodge. Certified instructors will provide ski lessons. The possible optional outdoor workshops offered are: outdoor photography, animal tracking, skis and outdoor equipment, ski waxing, plus more to choose from. Put it all together on groomed trails, with other great women and your camera to capture great outdoor photos. We guarantee that you will enjoy our evening entertainment on Saturday night!!
